This week, Daniel got to meet a lot of new people again. Sunday was a busy day: First, we finally managed to find a weekend where both we were back in Aalen and my sister had time to drive here from Böblingen. So now Daniel got to meet his Aunt Ruth, too. We had a great time, with yummy chocolate muffins that my sister brought and a nice afternoon walk (with the excuse of finding a mailbox to finally send off our application for our new apartment in Aachen). Later at night, the next visitors arrived: Our Polish friend Justyna from Austin times and her boyfriend Wayne managed to squeeze in a quick detour to Aalen after their trip to Prague. Unfortunately, they already had to leave again Monday afternoon, but we enjoyed the short time together, talking, taking another walk, having breakfast, lunch, and ice cream...
After two uneventful days (just resting at home, you won't believe it!) we got to meet another friend, Mario, one of Jefferson's friends from Brazil, who managed to "drop by" during a visit to Prague as well... (Anyone else visiting Prague in the next two weeks? For the moment we are still living very close to it... ;-) ) Though since he didn't have a car and the train schedules to Aalen were not great, we decided to all drive to Nuremberg on Thursday to meet him and do some sightseeing there again. Except for a few rain showers it was a very nice day, and Daniel enjoyed most of the visit sleeping in the carrying sling. Only around lunch time, he did wake up very hungry and we had to run to some pizza place as quickly as possible to start feeding him immediately.

In the evening of the same day, we barely made it home on time for Daniel to meet two of my former colleagues of Zeiss SMT for an evening of board games. He watched us a bit curiously (and let himself be watched by our guests and us even more curiously ;-) ) , but for most of the evening he was getting the bottle from Jefferson's mother to recover strength after the long and exhausting day... For the rest of the week, he "only" got to meet some people who were looking at our apartment to rent it after we move to Aachen, and our landlady. He apparently really liked her (not surprisingly, since she is such a nice person), and greeted her with his most beautiful smile we had seen of him so far. Since then he has been smiling more and more, though he's still a bit shy to show it on camera, so it's been hard to catch him quickly enough without the picture being blurred...
