Right on his half-year birthday, it was time for Daniel to go to the children's doctor again, for the "U5" regular checkup, the last regular exam now for a couple of months. Like always he did very well, and also took his third round of immunization shots as bravely as anyone can who is rammed a huge needle in each of his tiny legs... But I guess all the nice toys - including a musical cow hung by its neck (!?) over the exam table helped.
Like always, we got some new measurements of Daniels height and weight, and we wouldn't be real nerds if we didn't immediately use those to make some new diagrams, plotting his data together with average data of boys all over the world gathered by WHO. As we see, he is in the higher range in terms of weight, but that seems not unusual since he always stayed pretty much in the same range since he was born. Also, if we graph weight and height together, he turns out actually a bit lighter than the average of boys of his length. So we don't have an obese kid, just one that's preparing to grow into a giant. ;-)
