Week 26 (01/10/2009-01/16/2009)

This week was rather uneventful - after the Christmas break, we have settled back into our routine. No travels or visits at the moment - except for the babysitter and a cleaning lady who started helping us out this week (since we are still struggling to find time even to sleep, and cleaning the apartment is one of the few tasks for which we could easily arrange for some relief). I am at work most of the time (since last week already) while Jefferson takes care of Daniel and while Daniel tries to makes this a big challenge... ;-) He's still sometimes being difficult about drinking from the bottle or the breast (no matter what we offer him at the moment, he usually insists on getting the opposite) and even more about the carrots. We tried feeding him those for a few days, but decided to give him a break especially when he was getting very constipated. For the rest, we have been having fun building a snow man with him under the ever-watchful eyes of our neighbors (since a friend's picture of her snow man inspired us to try playing in the snow a bit, too)...

...letting Daniel bathe us when we were trying to bathe him (he has figured out how to make the water splash out of the bathtub with high efficiency) ;-)...

...watching Daniel playing with his toys, or even better, with Mom and Dad...

...experimenting with new funny faces and poses...

...and taking some time out. ;-)

By the way, since Daniel has now reached six months of age and we are (besides having little time) losing track of which week we are in, we are rethinking the format of the blog. So we decided to try switching to monthly summaries. But of course that doesn't mean that there is only news of Daniel once a month now - whenever there is something interesting happening or even just some very cute new pictures/videos, we are going to post that immediately...
