Several very busy weeks have kept us from writing the blog on time, but here is finally the week from 10/18-10/24, and the more recent ones are hopefully to come soon as well. This week started out rather lazy, with the normal routine at home, including trying to take ever cuter pictures of Daniel, and another walk in our neighborhood.

But at the end of the week things got busy. On Friday, in preparation for having to take him with me to my after-birth aqua-fitness classes soon (since Jefferson has a German course at the same time), we decided to start a course of baby-swimming! As expected, he was taking it very well even though he is the youngest in the group. For my taste, it seemed a bit hyperactive for kids of this age, an almost frantic succession of using different toys, singing in a circle, jumping of the wall, playing on an aluminum-foil covered mat, etc. He didn't seem to care much for the balls and toys and activity, but he did seem to enjoy floating and kicking around in the water with Jefferson.
The swimming made us very hungry, so in the evening we decided to stop by the restaurant in our street - "quickly, as long as Daniel is taking a nap"... But of course, he wouldn't let us get away with it that easily, and he insisted on getting some food as well and sent me running home for milk... ;-)
Saturday was busy as well - starting with an international family breakfast organized by the university. And later on the same day, the sunny weather made us venture out on a little sightseeing trip, to the Drielandenpunt, where the three countries Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium meet just a little outside of Aachen. Unfortunately, as it is common with us ;-) , we didn't make it out until the good weather had passed, it was almost getting dark and the attractions were about to close. But still, it was a fun little expedition.
